Hey Everyone,
I am new here but have been a member of another natty bb board for a while.
So I figured I would post some accomplishments that happened to me this year...
I turned 31! Enough said!!
My son's, Evan is 3 and Aiden is now 1.
We once again promoted a very successful 2008 OCB Natural Yankee Classic. We are all prepped for the 2009 OCB Natural Yankee Classic (which is a IFPA PQ).
My wife Amy and I celebrated our 6th year wedding anniversary! Not sure how she has put up with me for over 10 years!
Amy and I are now both board members for the It's My Heart - Boston which is a non-profit organization created to provide support, spread awareness, educate and advocate for those affected by Acquired and Congenital Heart Defects by creating alliances with fellow families, hospitals, support groups and the community.
As most of you are unaware I have grown up with a heart condition called Sub-Aortic Stenosis which required me to have open heart surgery at the age of 7, you can read about it here if you would like. It will give you a little background on who I am! As for today I recently had my last 3 month check up with my cardiologists and they said everything looks fine. I will not have to go back for another year which is good because since I was having palpitations and other issues they placed me on exercise restriction until they figured out what was actually going on. Needless to say in this year and a half I was some what depressed and went from 220lbs and 16% bodyfat to 250lbs and 34%BF. Umm can we say not good. Recently my doctors said I could return to exercising but low weight high reps! Which is cool but their definition of low weight is like 50 freaking pounds! I asked them about trying to compete and they are concerned about the training. I can understand that. So we will have to see, one step at a time.
I will be training at night after the wife and kids go to bed because it is the only time I can train. On top of being Mr. Mom, I work 2 jobs, one as a 24/7 job scheduler for the family business, Nappy Crane Services Inc. and I also own Phenom Labs and ECSN.
