Hello,
I am a newbie BB wanting info on training for back to back shows. I would like to do some consecutive shows that will be 2 weeks out from each.
Is there an optimum time inbetween shows? Is 1 month between shows doable? Is 1 week better than 2 weeks?

two - three weeks is the usual amount of time between doing back to back shows. two weeks is cutting it close, but can be done easily. at this time you will need to hold your conditioning so you can re-peak for the following show. the night after your show is the time to have one really good meal. that following monday, you will want to get back to your contest diet. eliminate anything mistakes that caused you to miss your peak during this time as well. take plenty of photos to see how you looked at your show and the few days after. this will help to dial your physique again.

Personally, I remain in shape at all times and am always ready for a show. The old bulk up and cut up method never worked for me.
Get in shape and make improvements along the way.
Of course having a show to do can motivate one to hit a peak for a particular time, but staying in close contest shape is a plus.
Best Wishes!

One tip of advice is to try and nail one show if you can (unless you must prequalify). The reason is that you want to try and be at your best conditioning when people see you. Two or more equivalent peaks are possible, but usually one ends up being better than the other. -Blake
